Technical Post - Replacing Profurl Swivels and Forestay

Today for a change it's a technical blog posting. When we return home most people ask for more posts about our life in general but a few ask us about technical stuff in particular. This one's for them!

The files below detail the steps I went through when I refurbished the Profurl rolling furler gear and the forestay that runs up through the foils of the furler. Hopefully they will be useful to others attempting a similar exercise.

But first a picture showing Jack from Carpe Diem (thanks Jack) and me hard at work in the Caribbean sunshine checking that the bolts holding the foil sections are all tight.
