Passagemaking starts today

Typed as we leave Kefalonia and Greece behind heading for Sicily.

We tied up bows to in Sami on Kefalonia last Thursday. By arriving at 11am we hoped to go alongside. Initially we did but unfortunately scraped our hull on the dock as we pulled alongside using our midships  cleat - the result of a poorly placed fender. Then the Port Police came and told us to move on as a big boat was coming in our place. It turned out to belong the owners of clothing giant Zara and they had a massive yacht to match. So it was bows to instead which takes us an age to set up.

Now if only you had had Helen or me on board, the problem with the poorly placed fender would never have arisen!
